Beaucoup d&rsquo;intellectuels des colonies ont fait leurs \u00e9tudes en Europe notamment, et les versions du capitalisme n\u00e9olib\u00e9ral post-colonial \u00e9mergent la plupart du temps de ces interactions. D&rsquo;o\u00f9 les variations observables quand le capitalisme ou le n\u00e9olib\u00e9ralisme \u00ab\u00a0touchent le sol\u00a0\u00bb en Asie, en Afrique, en Am\u00e9rique Latine etc.. Le capitalisme japonais n&rsquo;est pas le capitalisme chinois qui n&rsquo;est pas le capitalisme \u00e0 l&rsquo;indon\u00e9sienne ou le capitalisme au Chili etc&#8230; Ces diff\u00e9rences se fabriquent dans le croisement de l&rsquo;histoire et de la g\u00e9ographie locales, mais rel\u00e8vent aussi des productions intellectuelles locales.<\/p>\n<p><a translate=\"no\" href=\"https:\/\/press.princeton.edu\/books\/hardcover\/9781942130673\/market-civilizations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"invisible\">https:\/\/<\/span><span class=\"ellipsis\">press\u2027princeton\u2027edu\/books\/hard<\/span><span class=\"invisible\">cover\/9781942130673\/market-civilizations<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Toujours aussi fascin\u00e9 par la richesse de l\u2019\u0153uvre de Marx, qui se d\u00e9ploie au fur et \u00e0 mesure de la publication de ses textes, et les fruits qu&rsquo;on peut tirer de ses observations not\u00e9es sur un carnet, des intuitions qui \u00e9merge de son inlassable curiosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"moz-text-html\" lang=\"x-unicode\">\n<p>Un extrait (traduit vite fait) de l&rsquo;introduction :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab\u00a0La th\u00e9orie sociale moderne n&rsquo;a pas seulement cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger le pr\u00e9sent des contaminations du pass\u00e9 historique en les dissociant d\u00e9finitivement, dans la pure tradition moderniste, dans la mesure o\u00f9 le pr\u00e9sent capitaliste \u00e9tait reconnu comme ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 absorb\u00e9 ses ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents. En faisant appel \u00e0 une logique binaire d&rsquo;oppositions telles que moderne et pr\u00e9moderne, avanc\u00e9 et arri\u00e9r\u00e9, rationnel et irrationnel, voire \u00e0 des diff\u00e9renciations g\u00e9ographiques entre l&rsquo;Occident et l&rsquo;Orient, la contrainte de cette organisation dyadique a rendu obligatoire de consid\u00e9rer le pass\u00e9 comme un continent historique dont le pr\u00e9sent moderne devait d\u00e9sormais se s\u00e9parer et qu&rsquo;il devait \u00e9liminer, car il ne pouvait y avoir de m\u00e9lange adult\u00e9r\u00e9 ou de signes persistants d&rsquo;un pass\u00e9 survivant. Le souvenir de ces vestiges serait imm\u00e9diatement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une interf\u00e9rence (ou une contradiction r\u00e9trograde) avec la modernit\u00e9 ou le capitalisme. Une fa\u00e7on d&#8217;emp\u00eacher la \u00ab contagion \u00bb de l&rsquo;histoire de s&rsquo;insinuer dans le pr\u00e9sent moderne \u00e9tait de consid\u00e9rer celui-ci, ainsi que son autre non-moderne, le pass\u00e9, comme appartenant \u00e0 des registres temporels diff\u00e9rents, m\u00eame s&rsquo;ils pouvaient paradoxalement \u00eatre immanents l&rsquo;un \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre ou simplement coexister chronologiquement. \u00c0 cet \u00e9gard, la th\u00e9orie sociale moderne et sa traduction en sciences sociales op\u00e9rationnelles semblaient excessivement d\u00e9sireuses de maintenir le pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 distance et \u00e0 l&rsquo;abri de la contamination historique que repr\u00e9sentait le pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>(\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>Ce que propose l&rsquo;appel \u00e0 la conceptualisation marxiste de la subsomption formelle, c&rsquo;est une issue \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 la vulgate marxiste et aux r\u00e9cits historiques bourgeois modernisateurs contraints de remplir les agendas t\u00e9l\u00e9ologiques du capitalisme qui ont pr\u00e9tendu \u00e0 une trajectoire unique partout dans le monde. Une telle perspective nous oblige \u00e0 prendre en compte la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 concomitante de voir l&rsquo;\u00ab efficacit\u00e9 \u00bb des pratiques et des institutions, ainsi que le r\u00f4le jou\u00e9 par les temporalit\u00e9s in\u00e9gales produites par l&rsquo;incorporation et la m\u00e9tabolisation des pass\u00e9s dans le pr\u00e9sent. \u00c0 cet \u00e9gard, les multiples exemples de la mani\u00e8re dont la logique du d\u00e9veloppement a \u00e9t\u00e9 pens\u00e9e et m\u00e9diatis\u00e9e par une r\u00e9flexion approfondie sur les circonstances historiques h\u00e9rit\u00e9es et les conditions locales contemporaines ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 la forme possible d&rsquo;une histoire mondiale que Marx avait annonc\u00e9e plus t\u00f4t et qui restait \u00e0 \u00e9crire. La tr\u00e8s grande in\u00e9galit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e par diff\u00e9rents pr\u00e9sents remet en question l&rsquo;affirmation illusoire de l&rsquo;in\u00e9vitable accomplissement du capitalisme partout dans le monde et ses pr\u00e9tentions \u00e0 l&rsquo;uniformit\u00e9, et incite \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer les exemples attestant de r\u00e9sistances r\u00e9ussies aux formes dominantes du capitalisme au-del\u00e0 de l&rsquo;Euro-Am\u00e9rique. L&rsquo;attention port\u00e9e aux diff\u00e9rentes fa\u00e7ons dont le capitalisme s&rsquo;est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 dans des lieux et \u00e0 des moments singuliers et sp\u00e9cifiques confirme la d\u00e9cision de Marx de privil\u00e9gier la sc\u00e8ne mondiale refl\u00e9t\u00e9e dans la formation du march\u00e9 mondial comme principe organisateur principal dans la conception de toute histoire mondiale possible. L&rsquo;examen des diff\u00e9rences indiqu\u00e9es par les diff\u00e9rentes histoires, comme l&rsquo;ont propos\u00e9 les philosophes de Kyoto avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, et les combinaisons in\u00e9gales de vestiges capitalistes et pr\u00e9capitalistes exigeaient de prendre en compte leurs histoires singuli\u00e8res et sp\u00e9cifiques, dont les significations \u00e9chappaient aux contaminations de la \u00ab\u00a0raison de l&rsquo;histoire\u00a0\u00bb afin de restaurer la contingence dans le texte historique.
