\u00ab\u00a0Hence, the failure to orient oneself \u201ctoward\u201d the ideal sexual object affects how we live in the world; such a failure is read as a refusal to reproduce and therefore as a threat to the social ordering of life itself. The queer child can only, in this wish for the straight line, be read as the source of injury: a sign of the failure to repay the debt of life by becoming straight.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Par cons\u00e9quent, ne pas s’orienter \u00ab vers \u00bb l’objet sexuel id\u00e9al affecte la mani\u00e8re dont nous vivons dans le monde ; un tel \u00e9chec (failure) est interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 comme un refus (refusal) de se reproduire et donc comme une menace pour l’ordre social de la vie elle-m\u00eame. L’enfant queer ne peut, dans ce d\u00e9sir de ligne droite (straight line), qu’\u00eatre lu comme la source d’une blessure : le signe de l’\u00e9chec \u00e0 rembourser la dette de la vie en devenant h\u00e9t\u00e9rosexuel.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nous avons ici :<\/p>\n

La ligne droite (les chemins h\u00e9t\u00e9ro-sexu\u00e9s, l’\u00e9thique du travail et de la famille) – celle qui se pr\u00e9sente comme d\u00e9j\u00e0-l\u00e0, l’arri\u00e8re-plan donn\u00e9 comme \u00ab\u00a0ce qui va de soi\u00a0\u00bb, et canalise (contraint) le d\u00e9sir vers des horizons pr\u00e9-\u00e9tablis, des mondes pr\u00e9-d\u00e9coup\u00e9s (en vue de sa propre continuation, par la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition et la reproduction).<\/p>\n

Les lignes Queer (ou ce que Sara appelle les lignes du d\u00e9sir (desire lines<\/em>) – les bifurcations, les lignes obliques, les chemins de traverse, les lignes souterraines, qui ne sont accessibles qu’\u00e0 la condition d’un refus (refusal<\/em>) d’un \u00e9chec (failure<\/em>) au sens de faire \u00e9chec – il s’agit non seulement d’un constat d’\u00e9chec mais d’un acte de r\u00e9sistance, faire \u00e9chec, c’est \u00e9chouer \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux attentes, c’est refuser l’alignement – d\u00e9vier. (c’est pourquoi Judith\/Jack Halberstam par de \u00ab\u00a0The Queer Art of Failure<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0)<\/p>\n

Et, cette vie endett\u00e9e (debt life<\/em>) – c’est une id\u00e9e qui m’a toujours travaill\u00e9, que j’avais cru lire chez Graeber, dans son livre sur la dette (mais que j’ai \u00e9largie depuis avec d’autres lectures). Le sort des subalternes, d’\u00eatre endett\u00e9e \u00e0 la naissance – contraint de passer leur existence enti\u00e8re \u00e0 rembourser leur dette en travaillant, et d\u00e8s lors en se pliant aux r\u00e8gles et aux normes institu\u00e9 par le capital – celui \u00e0 qui la dette doit \u00eatre pay\u00e9e. Suivre le droit chemin peut d’entendre comme l’acquittement d’une dette : c’est ce que l’on doit non seulement \u00e0 ceux qui nous ont mis au monde, mais aussi au monde qui nous a accueilli – or, ce monde qui nous accueille cache sous son apparente b\u00e9n\u00e9volence une violence sourde : vous n’\u00eates bienvenue que dans la mesure o\u00f9 vous suivez les r\u00e8gles et contribuez \u00e0 votre tour \u00e0 la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition et la reproduction. Et si vous naissez de surcro\u00eet avec un corps inconvenant (racis\u00e9, queer, invalide etc..), alors cette dette s’accro\u00eet d’autant, les efforts pour \u00eatre align\u00e9 seront d’autant plus grands, et souffrants, et les promesses fallacieuses du monde auquel vous \u00eates somm\u00e9s de vous conformer, r\u00e9p\u00e9titivement d\u00e9\u00e7ues (car en d\u00e9finitive, quoiqu’on vous r\u00e9p\u00e8te, ce monde n’est pas fait pour vous, il n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour vous, mais pour l’homme blanc d’\u00e2ge m\u00fbr multi-propri\u00e9taire – tous les autres, les innombrables autres, ne sont qu’invit\u00e9s, provisoirement, et s’ils \u00e9chouent, incarc\u00e9r\u00e9s, confin\u00e9s, enferm\u00e9s).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
