Le risque, pour les manifestations queer, du fait m\u00eame de leur caract\u00e8re esth\u00e9tique, de n\u2019\u00eatre plus que la production d\u2019une s\u00e9rie d\u2019ic\u00f4nes suppl\u00e9mentaires, de r\u00e9clames publicitaires, d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments symboliques rendus parfaitement inoffensifs apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 aval\u00e9s, dig\u00e9r\u00e9s et recrach\u00e9s comme des marchandises par l\u2019insatiable industrie capitaliste et culturelle.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Des grenades qu\u2019on a pris soin de d\u00e9samorcer avant exposition. Une s\u00e9rie d\u2019ic\u00f4nes f\u00e9tiches destin\u00e9es \u00e0 occulter le monde, n\u2019en r\u00e9v\u00e9lant rien de plus que la formidable puissance assimilatrice de l\u2019industrie culturelle, ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9es (ou s\u2019\u00e9tant livr\u00e9es contre esp\u00e8ces sonnantes et tr\u00e9buchantes) \u00e0 l\u2019irr\u00e9sistible app\u00e9tit du L\u00e9viathan capitaliste.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Comme ce fut le cas, parmi mille autres exemples, du mouvement punk, devenu un article de mode \u2013 en partie seulement, comme le queer ne sera qu\u2019en partie seulement m\u00e2ch\u00e9 et rem\u00e2ch\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Quelques ic\u00f4nes pour admirer notre propre audace, s\u2019extasier de la libert\u00e9 des d\u00e9mocraties occidentales, notre tol\u00e9rance \u00e0 l\u2019exc\u00e8s, notre maturit\u00e9 id\u00e9ologique devant le scandale, notre mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s moderne de sublimer l\u2019embarras en divertissement (le sens Pascalien s\u2019impose ici) \u2013 et pour cela \u00ab\u00a0f\u00e9tiches\u00a0\u00bb, car menteuses et trompeuses, parce que ce n\u2019est l\u00e0 qu\u2019un spectacle, m\u00e9diocre comme tous les spectacles, un monde factice destin\u00e9 \u00e0 recouvrir d\u2019autres mondes (bien qu\u2019on y fasse allusion, mais cette allusion elle-m\u00eame \u2013 que ce soit \u00e0 la Palestine ou les Alg\u00e9riens jet\u00e9s dans la Seine, devient une partie du spectacle, un interlude \u00e0 peine embarrassant, et finalement satisfaisant. Puis, on passe rapidement \u00e0 autre chose, on ne s\u2019arr\u00eate pas).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Pour en revenir au queer. Ma th\u00e8se c\u2019est qu\u2019au c\u0153ur du queer il y a cette volont\u00e9 de non-reproduction, de refus d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9 de la reproduction. Le \u00ab\u00a0trouble dans le genre\u00a0\u00bb n\u2019est qu\u2019un des aspects, le plus m\u00e9diatis\u00e9, de ce refus. Mais quand je parle de non-reproduction ici, il ne s\u2019agit pas seulement d\u2019embarrasser la distribution des identit\u00e9s genr\u00e9es, ou de perturber les crispations sexuelles, mais aussi, par exemple, le refus de s\u2019int\u00e9grer dans le syst\u00e8me de l\u2019exploitation salariale, le refus de devenir une marchandise, disposable, jetable, comme le travailleur pr\u00e9caire du salariat n\u00e9olib\u00e9ral, le refus des hi\u00e9rarchies sociales et raciales, la volont\u00e9 de d\u00e9-familiariser ce qui semble aller de soi, la sacralit\u00e9 de la famille, du patriarcat, les espaces d\u2019apartheid. C\u2019est faire de sa vie une \u0153uvre destin\u00e9e \u00e0 saper les normes, fabriquer de l\u2019incertitude, du doute, mais aussi des joies nouvelles, des interruptions surprenantes, qui suspendent le cours du temps social en ouvrant d\u2019autres sentiers, d\u2019autres mani\u00e8res possibles d\u2019habiter le monde, d\u00e9ployer d\u2019autres sources de richesses, plus et mieux d\u00e9sirantes.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">C\u2019est ce que j\u2019appelle le refus de la reproduction (par exemple, il ne s\u2019agit pas tant \u00ab\u00a0de ne pas faire d\u2019enfants\u00a0\u00bb, que de refuser d\u2019augmenter le cheptel exploitable par le capitalisme).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Le risque du queer, c\u2019est sa dimension esth\u00e9tique. Tout comme le punk avant lui, il se pr\u00eate fort bien, du moins dans ses manifestations les plus \u201cspectaculaires\u201d (spectaculaires dans la mesure o\u00f9 il ajoute des images inconvenantes au flux d\u2019images convenables, qu\u2019il les ins\u00e8re dans le flux de la norme dans un but subversif ou transgressif) \u00e0 la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration culturelle. Et perd ais\u00e9ment sa valeur subversive en \u00e9tant mis au compte de la culture du capitalisme lib\u00e9ral. Dans ce contexte, il devient au mieux un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de ce que Th\u00e9venot et Boltanski appelaient la \u00ab\u00a0critique artiste\u00a0\u00bb (on pense au destin de l\u2019artiste contemporain, devenu producteur de normes). Il perd ainsi son potentiel de sabotage, est vid\u00e9 de sa substance sociale et de son impertinence politique, et subit le traitement que le r\u00e9cit n\u00e9olib\u00e9ral fait subir au langage\u00a0: le transformer en une collection d\u2019invocations vid\u00e9es de significations, de <i>flatus vocis<\/i>, de \u201cbruits\u201d comme dirait Lauren Berlant. Le r\u00e9sultat, c\u2019est la sid\u00e9ration que ce processus entra\u00eene, qui suspend la pens\u00e9e, paralyse l\u2019action. C\u2019est l\u2019artiste, cette figure r\u00e9put\u00e9e exceptionnelle, la star \u00e0 paillettes, qui prend en charge pour tous les autres cette libert\u00e9 fantasm\u00e9e\u00a0: mais n\u2019engage personne. Mettre le queer en sc\u00e8ne dans le grand th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019autopromotion du capitalisme contemporain, c\u2019est \u00e0 la fois faire la preuve de sa domestication, comme on a vaincu la b\u00eate sauvage qui errait dans les rues des villes \u2013 il est d\u00e9sormais inoffensif \u2013, et tenir en respect les spectateurs\u00a0: seul l\u2019artiste queer est autoris\u00e9 \u00e0 faire ce qu\u2019il fait, \u00e0 \u00eatre comme il est. Il ne doit surtout pas faire exemple ou vous inspirer en quoi que ce soit. Il ne doit surtout pas vous inciter \u00e0 plus de libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Remarque adjacente sur le spectacle d&rsquo;hier soir (dont je n&rsquo;ai rien vu en live, juste des commentaires et des images sur Mastodon : je n&rsquo;ai donc pas \u00e9t\u00e9 sid\u00e9r\u00e9 encore moins s\u00e9duit par le flux des \u00ab\u00a0images qui bougent\u00a0\u00bb) : j&rsquo;allais dire que ce spectacle occulte le dispositif policier et la militarisation de l&rsquo;espace (que vend explicitement l&rsquo;\u00c9tat fran\u00e7ais soit dit en passant : c&rsquo;est un vrai moment de business &#8211; prouver que la (f)Rance est \u00ab\u00a0capable d&rsquo;organiser un tel \u00e9v\u00e8nement en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb) et les op\u00e9rations devenues habituelles dans ce genre de circonstances de nettoyage social, mais rel\u00e9gu\u00e9es en amont, loin des yeux loin du c\u0153ur.<\/p>\n<p>Non, j&rsquo;ai tort d&rsquo;\u00e9crire cela. La militarisation fait partie du spectacle, elle aussi est mise en sc\u00e8ne (et en Seine). C&rsquo;est comme si le queer, pour en revenir \u00e0 mes r\u00e9flexions ci-dessus, venait \u00e0 \u00eatre partie prenante d&rsquo;un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 du 14 juillet. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 o\u00f9 se mesure l&rsquo;immense aberration que constitue la culture capitaliste &#8211; et la mani\u00e8re dont, sournoisement, elle invite le spectateur\/consommateur \u00e0 jouir aussi bien, dans un m\u00eame galimatias affectif, du queer et de la police, de l&rsquo;artiste et du militaire. Ce que fabrique le r\u00e9cit n\u00e9olib\u00e9ral, et ce gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 quoi il gouverne, affectivement pourrait-on dire, c&rsquo;est de la confusion, du bruit (pour reprendre l&rsquo;analyse que Lauren Berlant fait des discours de G.W.
