Par hasard, en \u00e9coutant le travail d&rsquo;une musicienne amie de mon amie qui a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 ce disque de Bill Wells et Adrian Moffat, je d\u00e9couvre cet album incroyablement triste et dr\u00f4le et beau, <em>Everything&rsquo;s get older<\/em>, et ma foi, comment vous dire, c&rsquo;est exactement \u00e7a, mon dieu, en plus c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;automne, et il fait vraiment aujourd&rsquo;hui le temps qu&rsquo;on s&rsquo;attend \u00e0 voir en automne, les feuilles des arbres jaunissent et rougeoient et couvrent doucement les chemins derri\u00e8re chez nous, je pense \u00e0 des amis qui sont morts, je pense \u00e0 une femme avec laquelle j&rsquo;ai v\u00e9cu longtemps, partie elle aussi ce printemps, je pense \u00e0 ce pays que j&rsquo;aime et qu&rsquo;il va falloir quitter, je pense aussi \u00e0 un chien, et il me manque juste un pub, boire une bi\u00e8re, l&rsquo;alcool aussi mon dieu me manque, et ce corps qui fatigue.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"&#039;The Copper Top&#039; by Bill Wells &amp; Aidan Moffat\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eu_qjcsF6Gs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Voici le texte, g\u00e9nial comme toujours, d&rsquo;Adrian Moffat :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>THE COPPER TOP<\/p>\n<p>The bar&rsquo;s busier than it should be on a weekday afternoon as the door swings shut behind me, but I&rsquo;m the only one wearing a suit. They don&rsquo;t get asked much for three-piece suits these days, so my choice was limited. I went for all-purpose black, or &lsquo;charcoal grey&rsquo; as he called it. Looks black to me. This is the second time I&rsquo;ve worn it, the first was a wedding and there&rsquo;s a christening next week so I might as well get my money&rsquo;s worth. Birth, love and death: the only reasons to get dressed up. I loosen my tie. Halfway through my pint and a text message from John says he&rsquo;s waiting outside, sooner than I&rsquo;d expected. I down what&rsquo;s left and step out into the bright afternoon and get in the car. I look up and see the pub&rsquo;s once brilliant copper roof has oxidized over the years and it&rsquo;s now a dull, pastel green.
